Welcome to the new look tailormade productions website.

We thought it was about time we started a blog to inform, enlighten and hopefully inspire  filmmakers out there with an record of our feature film, The Sea Change. You can see a more visual record of this by watching our "making of" podcasts here

These podcasts should be coming out more regularly now we have been joined by legend Baff Akoto to help produce and film them.

 Ok so here goes....

This last week has been fraught with the highs and lows you can only get from the pressurized prep period.  Good news first; Colin Morgan (he plays the young Merlin in BBC1's prime time Merlin) has come on board to play Calum... Hoorah and Hoozah!

Now the bad news; the fear of a looming recession has lost us two major investors. We are working hard to find the extra cash needed through other means.

It has been a very tough and bonding experience for Brek and Elizabeth. When you make your first low budget feature, you tend to have to multi task, so they've been up till very late most nights either storyboarding, trying to hire crew on really uncertain terms, calling America, drinking coffee and just generally trying not to stress out. Charlotte Wontner and Anne Sheehan have been a great help. As two of the films producers they have been busy chasing all financial angles and reviewing the sale figures..... rather them than us!!!

Alongside the pre production Brek's been attending a collaboration course and has just finished her second short film of the last four weeks. The course focuses on getting filmmakers; directors, writers and actors, collaborating and communicating together with a high degree of creative autonomy allowing newer filmmakers the creative space to articulate their voice. To read more about the course or to sign up for it yourself go to the following website.....www.powerhouseindependent.com

Elizabeth meanwhile has now put her job as Lewisham's Film Officer (www.lewishamfilminitiative.co.uk) on hiatus for the next few months to concentrate on the film. Sorry for all you Lewisham Film Makers out there - she'll be back before you know it!  and Clare has been busy getting an application form together for the animated short 'The Sleeping Forecast' more on this to follow when we get the results through.

Ok I'll sign off now but more blogs to come very soon.......
